Angle of Attack Sensor, Angle of Sideslip Sensor, Alpha Vane, Beta Vane
The vane mounted at the top of the apparatus measures the yaw angle. This sensor is thus used to measure the side-to-side rotation of the airfoil into the airflow. The vane mounted perpendicularly to the first vane (on the side of the apparatus) is used to measure the angle of attack. This measures the up-and-down rotation of the airfoil into the airflow as already discussed above.
